Stop. Ask yourself some questions. Do any of the following questions apply to your small business and its marketing mix?
1. Do you need to modify your mix?
2. Is your product best sold directly or through distribution?
3. Brainstorm on all the promotion events that are a fit for your product. List as many as you can.
4. What method will you use to determine your promotion budget?
5. Why do you charge the prices you do for your products?
6. How do your prices fit with the product life cycles stages?
7. When should you raise or lower your prices?
8. Will lowering your prices justify added volume or lift?
9. What makes your product or service truly different from your competition?
10. How could you promote your unique product or service features?
