PC, phone, and camera memory is like human memory–you can’t live without it. In life there are some things we wish to forget and some things we have to remember. With digital memory, it always has to work and always has to remember. There’s no room for error. That’s why I use Kingston as my digital workhorse. From PC to tablet to smartphone to DSLR, Kingston is in most of my digital devices. DIMMS, SIMMS, USBs, and flash memory. It’s a common brand for my common uses. And yes, I sometimes purchase memory from other companies, yet the bulk of my memory comes from Kingston.
But why Kingston? With all the memory choices available today, why do I still purchase most of my memory from Kingston?
Here are five simple reasons:
- History. Yes, history. Kingston has been around since 1987 and has done nothing but grow ever since. The name means memory and most of the world knows it. The concept of a track record counts. The proof is in the digital pudding.
- Quality. If your memory is not reliable it’s not memory because it won’t work. It’s that simple. My Kingston memory has to perform so my consulting business can perform. If my memory products slow down my business slows down.
- Testing. Kingston tests every cell on every chip on every product. They don’t just manufacture and ship. Kingston designs, manufactures, tests, and then ships. There is a filtering process that ensures my memory will work. In fact, Kingston often designs their own testers. They don’t just “test,” they understand testing and that’s a big difference.
- Brand. Being a marketing consultant, author, and professor, I know that brand matters. In sum, a brand is a promise. With a good brand you have confidence and less worry. The brand adds value and ensures that my hard-earned money will go the distance on the memory front. Even if I spend a bit more for a better brand, I know that the long-term investment is worth it.
- Warranty and Support. For most products, Kingston’s warranty is lifetime. That means longevity beyond the typical product life-cycle. That means I have confidence my memory will work as long as I use or own it. In addition, if I have a question there’s always a live person to call. Real people matter so I can get real answers to my real questions. Kingston provides that assurance.
As a small business owner and marketing consultant, I seldom forget where to purchase my memory.
What’s your reasons?
Thanks, Kingston, for both the memories and your memory products…
