He talks about transparency and how scary and powerful it is. Let’s face the facts and the feedback about how our clients, potential customers, and readers view us. Attacks hurt; constructive criticism helps. It’s not easy to hear sometimes, but it has made me a better marketing consultant, author, professor, and person. In fact, some of my best critics are my clients and students. I learn from both the compliments and criticisms.
So listen and learn. Don’t take offense–take action. It raises the bar and takes your marketing, your small business, and your skill set to the next level. And remember, it’s the next level that drives business in both a recession and economic boom times.
