Your 2023 Marketing Plan
The year 2022 is almost over. The year 2023 is fast approaching. Get ready. Or better yet, are you ready? Is your business ready for 2016? Is your marketing plan ready? Doing a reset, reboot, and refresh on your marketing plan is critical for success. Think now before time absorbs your planning at the speed of life.
Now is the time to ask yourself some strategic marketing plan questions–questions I’m asking myself, too. Below are 35 questions to get your mindset in the 2023 mode. Preparing ahead of time will serve you well:
- Give yourself a brief review of your 2022 marketing initiatives: What worked? What failed? What did not happen that should of? What was a waste of time? What created the greatest ROI? What brought in new customers?
- What type of advertising campaigns did you run during 2022? Which were the most effective?
- What were your website analytic trends during 2022 compared to 2021? What changes should you make for 2016, as a result of looking at past trends?
- What were your most effective marketing tools in 2022?
- Can you generate a quick SWOT analysis of 2022?
- Who was your primary target market for 2022 and will that target market change in 2016?
- What are your top three to five marketing objectives for 2023, by priority?
- What is your content strategy for 2023?
- How will you plan to measure marketing success in 2023?
- What is your unique value proposition? Is that value proposition in the top 15% of your home page?
- What are the top three to five benefits you are providing your customers in 2023?
- How strong is your current website’s ranking and awareness? Is your website on the radar?
- What’s the average page load speed of your website?
- What keeps you up at night? Get more sleep and fix it.
- What has worked for you? What has not? What is the #1 thing you’d like to change?
- Is your website mobile responsive? If not, you’re losing customers every second.
- Have you done any online marketing?
- Have you tried digital advertising such as Google Ads or Facebook ads?
- Have you used email marketing such as Constant Contact? What social media channels does your business currently use?
- What would success look like for your organization?
- How committed are you on a scale of 1-10 to achieving this success (10 being highest)?
- What is stopping you from achieving success with your marketing? What do you think you need?
- What is your monthly marketing budget for 2023? In sum, what is the range you are committed to spending on monthly marketing to grow your business?
