Marketing is telling your story. The story of the Apple brand starts with a person, Steve Jobs. His marketing imagination spanned his entire high tech career. Steve left a legacy and a gift for seeing the present and the future with marketing stories. He also turned these stories into products that have changed the world.
Steve Jobs is the person behind the Apple product. Great products come from innovative people and ideas. Those that stretch the imagination and take the biggest risks often create the best products. There is failure, success, trials, testing, and innovation. Steve jobs personifies the striving attempt to make technology human rather than technology just technology. Good products do more than just function. They create both a following and a form. The product become the culture and Steve Jobs shaped both a product and a company culture into cultures throughout the world.
And even though Steve Jobs is not longer with us, his legacy is. His legacy is carried in the pocket of every person who uses an iPhone, iPad, or MacBook. The person is in the product and Steve’s life is gone but his legacy lives on every time we turn on an Apple device.
