You may not be a professional writer, but you do know your message better than anyone else. Thus, make sure you at least write rough drafts for your home, about us, services, resources, FAQ, and contact pages. Give it your best shot. Keep it simple and to the point. Use bullet points when possible, especially when describing your services and/or product features and benefits. If the end result is not exactly what you want, at least you will have a rough draft and starting point to hand off to a writer. This makes the writer’s job much easier and forces both you and the writer to collaborate on your core message. It also forces to your think about your Web site messaging.
